Chrome Emblems: Placement That Looks Factory Instead of Friday Afternoon
A few measuring tricks make an emblem look like it has always belonged there.
Wash and dry the mounting area, then remove wax or oily residue. Before exposing adhesive, hold the emblem in position and compare it with nearby body lines, trim and factory badges. Painter's tape can create a temporary baseline and center mark. Step several feet away before committing; small alignment errors are easier to spot from a distance. Once satisfied, press evenly across the emblem rather than hammering one corner down first. Avoid placing emblems over sharp body creases or surfaces where the adhesive cannot make full contact.
Pinky's rule: clean surfaces, careful measuring and a little patience beat fixing a rushed installation later.
