Race numbers need to be recognizable quickly. Choose strong contrast between the number and the vehicle, especially when outlines are involved. Before installation, temporarily position the complete number set and view it from across the garage or paddock. Keep digits level and maintain consistent spacing. Avoid door handles, deep body creases and other interruptions when possible. If a driver name or secondary text is included, let the race number remain the visual priority. Clean the panel carefully before application; race cars collect an impressive variety of substances that vinyl would rather not stick to.
